The historic Canyon Ferry Mansion was originally built around 1914 near what is today known as Confederate Gulch.
In the early 1950's, Canyon Ferry Reservoir was created by condemnation, and the Ranch house was moved to its present location on the old Bedford Montana town and mill site along the famous "Warm Springs " Creek. Discovered by Lewis & Clark.
Warm Springs Creek flows along the entire eastern boundary of the property, and I am told maintains a 53 degree year round temperature.
The home was originally built by Andrew B Cook, owner and breeder of the world's largest and most celebrated purebred Hereford cattle.
The Mansion was purchased by the current owners in 1999, and restored to a Bed n' Breakfast Inn.
Later the old Toston Church was purchased and moved onto the property and restored to compliment the Bed n' Breakfast with a Wedding Chapel.
This very unique home and property is a wonderful opportunity for one interested in living in history, or operating a sucessful busines enterprise.
This is a working Wedding Chapel, showings and closing could be determined by scheduled bookings.
